"Paradise on earth" (Baan Timbalee)

Mr. Francois Aubert - August 31st, 2010

Aug 27, 2010 "Paradise on earth!" Renting a house over internet is always challenging. Of course photos are available, but aren't we too often over cautious? Well I was. But the support and the availability of the owner ahead of our stay were great. Thanks, Alena! Now of course, our expectations were at the top when we got there, after a red eye flight with children! Well no disappointment! Stuart, the resort manager, welcomed us nicely in ... a paradise! Exactly what you can expect from the pictures and the description. The villa is 2 km away from the coast, in the middle of a beautiful tropical forest, in the north part of the island, 15 minutes away from Chaweng. So nice restaurants and frenzy is close-by while the house is in a calm and protected environment. The best of the two worlds! The house is decorated with a lot of taste and has all amenities you could expect. And when the night comes, the tasteful lighting makes it magic! In short you really feel like a welcomed guest in a beautiful house! We already booked it for our next stay! :-)

May, 2010 - Thanks very much (Sanbonani)

Mr. Tim Darton - August 31st, 2010

Thank you for such a wonderful, chilled-out and relaxed 3 weeks at Samran Gardens in the Sanbonani villa in May, 2010. Service, advice and attention to detail was excellent and very much appreciated. The grounds were kept immaculate and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to it again in the near future. I would highly recommend this for a base to explore Ko Samui and the surrounding islands. Many thanks, Tim Darton,

"extremely impressed" (Sanbonani)

Mr. Ivan Martin - August 31st, 2010

Feb-22 nd - 28 th, 2010 - Ivan Martin We stayed at Sanbonani Villa for a week this month. Not only did the villa take our breath away when we first entered it but were extremely impressed with the way Stuart went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you so much for everything. We will be seeing you again in the near future. Ivan and Jill Martin, London.

Our 4 th stay now here (Sanbonani)

Mr. Jim Earl - August 31st, 2010

"Sanbonani" Jan 4 th - Feb 4 th, 2010 Well just a note to follow up our holiday, our 4 th stay now in Samran Gardens, we had such a good time, loved the house and surroundings too. So sorry we just did not have time to drop in on our departure, but you know how it is, last minute stuff to do etc etc. It was so good to see more tourists in the area than on our previous trip, so let's hope it continues for you all, and the recession is less biting than it was. It was so hard coming back to the cold and wearing all the thick clothing again, how I loathe it, but at least the snow is away thank goodness. Anyway, thank you for everything. Our regards and best wishes to you both. Shirley and Jim Earl, Perth, Scotland

"The villa was great" (Sanbonani)

Mr. Peter Rassmusen - August 31st, 2010

Jane and Peter - March 11th, 2009 Thank you so much - we had a super holiday in the 'Sanbonani' villa in early February. The villa was great, the pool and garden lovely. Never seen such marvelous beach towels! Maybe the villa could do with a couple of sunloungers. It would be great to have a few more flowering shrubs/bushes around the pool and garden to encourage even more butterflies. We will certainly consider visiting again next year. Thank you. Warm Regards, Jane & Peter Rassmusen Denmark (Many Thanks Jane and Peter for your kind words, 2 sun loungers were added to the villa on Tuesday this week and I shall pass on the idea about more plants).

A little slice of heaven !! (Akuvara)

Mrs. Deborah Fulwood - August 30th, 2010

Location, location, on the beach means on the beach at this amazing home, Akuvara! Its private, definately not touristy like many other parts of the island and you are totally spoilt by the amazing staff. The bedrooms are separate from the main living area giving great privacy and they are designer decorated. The beds are extrememly comfortable, the ensuite spotless and its all air- conditioned! One of the hardest decisions I had to make was choosing from the menu, there was so much to choose from and it all tantalised my tastebuds! [I now love Thai food!] Another hard decision was whether I would swim in the pool, lay on the daybed in the salah and gaze at the five islands in the distance or swim and snorkle in the sea... too hard to decide so I just did it all! Snorkling the little reef was amazing...so many coloured fish and coral. I dont think I could say what I liked the best as the whole stay at Akuvara was fantastic, although sitting in the shallows at low tide, watching the amazing sunsets every evening with my drink being refreshed by the staff takes some beating. What I liked least was saying goodbye but I will definately return!

"Sanbonani Villa" (Sanbonani)

Mr. Dave Donnelly - August 30th, 2010

We stayed at the Sanbonani Villa for two weeks in late July, early August, 2010. We are a modern family of six and we wanted a family holiday where we could spend time on the one environment rather than be split up in hotel rooms. After quite a bit of research I found Samran Gardens and having exchanged a few emails with Stuart, the on site villa manager, decided this was the place for us, we were not disappointed and had a fantastic time. The villa was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all of us. Having the pool proved to be invaluable especially for a family, the kids spent most of their free time there and it was idyllic. Eating out was easy, there are great little restaurants in the village, uncle Noi's was great, it had a family atmosphere, the food and the prices were incredible. There is large Tesco's in Bo Phut should you feel the need for some home cooking. Overall a great place to stay and I have no hesitation in recommending it. We will be back again. Dave Donelly and Katie McGregor Hong Kong

Baan Flora, Samran Gardens (Baan Flora)

Mr. Rex Fowler - August 29th, 2010

We just wanted to say thank you for a lovely stay in Koh Samui at your villa, Baan Flora. I'm only sorry that we didn't invite you & your wife for dinner after all that you did for us. I'm sure we'll come again so next time we'll arrange a night with you guys. Cheers Rex, Nilufar & Mimi Fowler Bangkok, Thailand

what an amazing holiday (Baan Lily)

Mr. Marc Rickett - August 28th, 2010

This is our second visit to the island and Baan Lily was far superior in all respects. The accomodation is stunning and a credit to Tim and Helen both are attentive amd extremely helpful. We had internet issues which were rectified immediately. The villa is perfect for children our 5+12 yr olds loved the very large pool which is set in a very well kept garden, we most certsinly would return.

Serenity (Baan Wanora)

Ms. Rani Olafsdottir - August 25th, 2010

I spent five wonderful days in Baan Wanora on Koh Samui island in June this year, and want to share the experience with you. When I arrived, I was overworked and mentally tired. After being installed into my delightful room, I went straight for the swimming pool. What a pool! The best salt-water pool I ever swam in. I hardly moved out of the villa these five days, apart from walking on the beach very early every morning watching the sun rise, but my favourite activity was swimming in the pool, under the stars, with the soft sound of the ocean ebbing and flowing. The one word, I would use to describe this place, is serenity. The calm and quiet is immensely soothing and relaxing, coming from a stressful life in a big city. Everything, including food and service is of very high standard in Baan Wanora, which makes for the perfect, relaxed holiday with or without your loved one!

Great home in Krabi (Ban Nang Faa)

Mrs. Lisa van N - August 14th, 2010

Hi there, we rented this house in Krabi for a month and it was a great stay. We stayed with our 3 year old daughter who had her own bedroom. The website is very accurate, this is a luxury home with all you wish for. The beds are very good, kitchen, showers, parking space, everything is new and in great condition. The owners are very helpfull and respond to email quickly. We rented a car and crossed the area which is lovely, the best in Thailand. The people in the area are very friendly. There is a small mosk on the other side of the road, but it doesn't wake you up because the villa has double glass windows. AO Nong and the beach are close, just a 5 minute drive.

The best you can find………………. (Baan Sansuk)

Mr. Kenneth Israellson - July 29th, 2010

"Baan Sansuk" We have during 2009 and 2010 rent the house Baan Sansuk in Samran Gardens between January and March. We don’t think there is any better place to stay. Samran Gardens is a beautiful, peaceful and quiet location. Baan Sansuk is a marvellous house, with nice furniture and a lot of space. Here you got everything you need. Children, grandchildren and friends have visited us and they have all loved the house and the location. Apart from the marvelous house there is a big pool and an impressive garden with mango and papaya trees, pineapples and coconut trees. The housekeeping service is superb. The manager Stuart and his wife are always there to fix all that you want. In the location you also have a gym which adds an extra comfort. Once for sure, we will be back in 2011. Kenneth & Ingrid Israellson Sweden

Baan Sii - July 2010 (Baan Sii)

Mrs. Susan Burke - July 28th, 2010

I have recently returned from 2 weeks at the baan sii villa. What a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful but close enough to the hustle & bustle of Patong. We had a group of 10 people using all 5 bedrooms. We loved everything about this villa inluding the villa staff who came & prepared our breakfast every morning & then came back after lunch to clean the villa. The villa is on top of a very steep hill which i only walked up once - if you are young & fit you will have no trouble but i would rather pay 200bht for a tuk tuk which took 6 people, about $1 each. It was only about a 10 minute drive into Patong or a 15 minute walk down the hill to the beach at Kamala. There are some great reataurants in Kamala and a few shops, a very nice local village. I am writing this review because when i was booking the villa i could not find any comments on it at all & was getting a little worried that no one had stayed here. I would highly recommend this villa to a group wanting a relaxing holiday but still being fairly close to everything. The only thing was that there are only 3 bathrooms (main with ensuite, queen with ensuite & the other 3 bedrooms share a bathroom). This was not a problem for us as we were all family. There is also an extra toilet, washbasin room upstairs. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would definately return to the Baan Sii again.

"The villa was superb" (Baan Sansuk)

Mr. Nigel Tokely - July 27th, 2010

Jan-29-2010 04:09:56 Name: Nigel Tokely Comments: Dear Stuart, Baan Sansuk, Samran Gardens Just a note to thank you and Aa for making our stay at Samran Gardens so enjoyable, the Baan Sansuk villa was superb and your recommendations on restaurants and local sightseeing just added to making it one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. Also a real bonus was having the Santi Buri Golf Course just 10 minutes away, a truly stunning and challenging course. It was our first time to Koh Samui but certainly not our last ! Kindest regards, Nigel & Cindy Tokely "Woodlands" Dorset, U.K

"the villa was brilliant" ........ (Baan Sansuk)

Mr. Rob Rosselli - July 27th, 2010

Re: Baan Sansuk - 2nd Jan - 13 th Jan, 2010 Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed our time at the villa. We arrived 02-01-10 for ten days and all three couples have had a great time. Villa Maria - Amazing!! (Villa Maria)

Mrs. Meghan Holloway - July 7th, 2010

Just returned from 2 glorious weeks at Villa Maria. Couldn't recommend it highly enough! Having booked over the internet, we were half expecting to turn up to find no villa!! However, this was certainly not the case and the pictures do not even do it justice!! We have 8 adults and 4 children in our group and there was so much space we didn't get under each others feet! Dui and Na were amazing and took care of us so well that we dreaded going home to have to take care of ourselves again! They cooked, shopped, washed, cleaned and tidied every day, leaving us to relax completely! As a Mum, what more could I ask? Tracey, the manager, was a wealth of information and was ALWAYS contactable for the smallest query. It was so helpful having an English manager to help us overcome any language difficulties we faced. Overall, our holiday was everything we could have imagined and more and we really hope to come back again some day!! Thankyou thankyou thankyou!

Mr. Sean silva - June 28th, 2010

I was very please with the Cliffside villas and it's staff. The place was like a resort to yourself. Amazing tropical grounds with even a small golf pitch from the patio. My son fished in the lagoon and caught one. At night we had the private chef make a great Thai meal that we will never forget. Accomidations were superb.

Brilliant stay at Astasia Villa (Astasia Villa)

Miss. Lau Alice - May 3rd, 2010

I was so happy to stay at this spacious and exotic Astasia Villa when I was in Koh Samui last month. I really appreciated all the arrangement from you, it made us had a wonderful and unforgettable holiday. Firstly, the minibus is very good for 8 of us instead of a taxi. Secondly, the local tour agent was very helpful too. Finally, the BBQ dinner was extremely nice. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Cheers, Alice 14-18 Apr 2010

Tranquil Retreat (Baan Wanora)

Mr. Peter KENNEDY - April 9th, 2010

My wife and I stayed at Baan Wanora and had a fantastic time. It is a luxurious property where careful attention has been paid to every detail. It is down a quiet lane and so is tranquil and serene. There is a full view of the ocean and the quiet beach is only a few feet away from the end of the garden. It is a magical location where you can lounge around the pool and soak up the sun. The bedrooms are individual villas looking onto the pool. They are lavishly decorated in Thai style. The staff are cheerful, attentive but unobtrusive. You will be pampered like royalty! We have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world and this place is better than any. It is terrific value for money. Dr. Peter Kennedy
